Gr 2-3-The 10th set of "Supersonic Phonics," features a variety of animals as main characters in the stories. There's a pig, an ocelot, a dragon, a llama, and a tiger. In keeping with the other sets in the series, many titles focus on fantasy, magic, and surprise. The variation in titles and illustration styles is engaging, with some stories being especially humorous and original. Power of the Grannies has a great cover, featuring a gang of grannies in leather jackets perched on motorcycles. VERDICT This set is one of the stronger ones in the series.
